Another year races towards its end and Editors are a hive of activity. It won't be long until we're together again as a band rehearsing the first ideas for album 4. Obviously it's a big task but we have songs now and the wheels are well and truly in motion. The idea is to record in stages over 2011 but first things must come first and we need to get into a room together and play, see where the ideas take us. These are exciting times and we're all looking forward to taking our relationship with Mr Flood further....first rehearsals start in a matter of days.

But it's not all about the future right now. We've been picking through the archive recently, looking back at our 3 records, many many b-sides and some material that has never seen the light of day. It's been addictive. We can't leave it alone, much like picking a scab, and we've decided to package it all together and share it with our fans, officially. We've raided the vaults, searched through old CD-Rs, cassettes and photo albums and gathered it all together. We'd like you to have this music on any and every format we can produce and also share some photos and memories of the last 6 years in a volume that you can keep forever.

So that's what we've done; coming in Feb 2011 is Editors, the complete collection. Unedited, if you like. Seven 12" heavy weight vinyls, seven CD's, a download of everything in high quality 320kbps mp3 format and a book of photos and words. It's gonna be sexy.

Dopo una settimana devastante al lavoro torno e trovo questo messaggio nella posta!!! Già l'oggetto "message from Tom" era promettente poi inizio a leggere e scopro tutta sta roba!!! Bello bello bello! "It's gonna be sexy" poi "made my day" come si usa dire
Non vedo l'ora!!!

150 Euri non sterline, che 150 sterline non so se ci sarei potuta arrivare :-p
Non è un prezzo basso però considerando 7 cd, 7 vinili più libro temevo un prezzo pure maggiore. Vero che probabilmente tutti noi abbiamo già i tre cd e quindi avremo doppioni, comunque nello store si può ordinare anche solo la You Are Fading Collection in dowload digitale però.

ps: Alone si trova nel cd "You Are Fading III".

just wanted to give some more behind-the-scenes info about some of
the tracks that are part of the You Are Fading collection.

NO SOUND BUT THE WIND
The original, full band version. Recorded by Flood as part of the In
This Light And On This Evening sessions, the track was never
released. As you know, two alternate versions have since seen the
light of day, but this is the real deal.

EVERY LITTLE PIECE
Recorded in London in a three-day recording stint in December 2007,
this recording has never been heard outside of Editors, not even by
the record label.

THESE STREETS ARE STILL HOME TO ME (VERSION 1)
Version 2 was included with the Japanese release of ITLAOE and
Version 1 was put away in the vault. While many still haven't heard
Version 2, no-one has heard Version 1.

hai ragione perchè ero convinta che fossero sterline? Ecco perchè mi è arrivato il messaggio dell'operazione eseguita della carta di credito con 149€ ed io mi domandavo "bah ma non erano sterline?..."
Si va beh ad ogni modo poco cambia, adesso devo solo essere paziente e aspettare.
